CES Boxing is hosting a press conference at Lighthouse Bar in New Bedford on Monday, May 6th at 5pm to announce a twin title bill featuring fan-favorite Wilson "Ill Will" Mascarenhas against puncher Patrick Okine.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW BEDFORD, MA – CES Boxing will host a press conference at Lighthouse Tavern in New Bedford, MA on Monday, May 6, featuring several local boxers who will see action at 'The Brawl at Bally's' on May 11th.  The 7-fight card takes place at Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino.

Details for the press conference, which will be open to the public, are as follows:

Date: Monday, May 6

Time: 5pm EST

Location: Lighthouse Tavern, 578 Brock Ave, New Bedford, MA 02744

In attendance will be New Bedford's own Wilson "Ill Will" Mascarenhas (10-1, 4 KOs).  The charismatic jr. welterweight prospect of Portuguese and Cape Verdean descent will face his toughest test to date on May 11, when he collides with Ghanian veteran Patrick "The Mallet" Okine (21-6-2, 18 KOs).

This will be Ill Will's first 8 round bout for his first pro title, as he'll battle Okine for the WBC USA Silver Super Lightweight Championship.  In his way is a tough-as-nails Ghanian puncher who has 3 times as many fights and has been in the ring with the likes of world champions Lee Selby and Emmanuel Tagoe as well as contenders Jeremia Nakathila and Cletus Seldin.

Also in attendance will be undefeated New England Lightweight Champion "King" Kevin Walsh (12-0, 5 KOs).  The Brockton native is already 2-0 in 2024, scoring a spectacular one punch knockout of Darrell Rivera in February followed by a title winning unanimous decision over Matt Doherty in March. Standing opposite Walsh on May 11 is power puncher Tackie Annan, who has knocked out 14 of his 15 victims.

Several special guests will join the fighters, including newly crowned CES MMA Heavyweight Champion Yorgan "The Mad Titan" DeCastro and former world champion "Sucra" Ray Oliveira.  DeCastro, a UFC veteran, won his world title on last Friday night against "King" Kevin Sears Jr. and is a big supporter of fellow Portuguese Cape Verdean Wilson Mascarenhas.  Oliveira is a New Bedford legend who has shared the ring with the likes of Ricky Hatton, Vernon Forrest and Vivian Harris.

CES Boxing cordially invites members of the press, boxing enthusiasts, and the general public to join us at Lighthouse Tavern in New Bedford tomorrow at 5pm.  This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and interact with the fighters, promoters, and other key figures in combat sports before the big show at Bally's on May 11th.
