Jalen Renaud – Waiting To Get Back in the Ring

Jalen Renaud (9-0-0 3 Kos) of Springfield, Massachusetts has just recently lost his “Pops”, [John Renaud] and is training hard and waiting for his next opportunity to get back in the ring. Unfortunately he will not be fighting on the upcoming CES Boxing card which will be held at Mohegan Sun Casino this month.

Pattee Mak: First off, I would like to send my condolences concerning your father. He treated me with respect and I will always remember the great boxing memories that took place throughout the years. Your father was always in your corner and looked out for you.

Renaud: First off thank you Pattee. My pop loves you. you already know you're part of the family since back at the Gold Gym days.

Pattee Mak: I forgot about the Gold Gym days. That’s right.

Pattee Mak: How has training been since his passing?

Renaud: I mean training just continued. My pops taught me to be able to withstand anything. You know what I mean. Just because his actual being ain’t in the gym doesn’t mean he’s not here with me. I'll be chilling and talking to him every day. Jose Ortiz, my Uncle got me and it's the same goal from when Papa was alive. Hit the bag and get that belt.

Pattee Mak: Where are you currently training?

Renaud: I'm training in Agawam with Jose Ortiz am my strength and conditioning coach is Shane Blair also in Agawam at Next fitness. They both turning me into a machine.

Pattee Mak: Get that work in.

Pattee Mak: Pops was always working your corner and I could always hear him giving you great commands. No one could ever take his place. Who will be filling in as his substitute?

Renaud: I mean ain’t no substitute and no one fill that roll. You know what I mean. He’s one of a kind. You know my one and only pops. Eventually, I’ll probably bring someone in but before that I’ll have to sit down with Jose [Ortiz] and it’s definitely going to be somebody familiar.

Pattee Mak: Who would you eventually like to fight and where?

Renaud: I would like to fight Casey Streeter (10-2-1 4Kos). I feel like that would be a great fight. Jahi Tucker (9-0-0 5Kos). I'm still on that boy's ass lol. Honestly anybody that's in my weight class and if it makes money and makes sense. If you paid me the right amount, I'm jumping in the ring. Feel me lol

Pattee Mak: CES has an upcoming bout at Mohegan, any reasons why you aren’t on that card?

Renaud: No reason. It just didn't work out. I'll definitely be on the next CES Card.

Pattee Mak: You have always been good with the mic after your fights. What do you attribute that to?

Renaud: That comes from my first love, wrestling. I was supposed to be a WWE superstar. My mic skills are crazy. Shout out to “Big Bacon” Brad Hollister. You out here living our dreams family.

Pattee Mak: Thank you very much for this interview.

Renaud: No problem Pattee. Thank you for having me. Thank you for calling me. You already know your family.

Renaud: Also any merch that anybody wants. We got pants, shoes, t-shirts. We got it all https://www.etsy.com/shop/AuntieSweetzBoutique
