O’Han and Foppinao Getting the TKO Victory while Vendetti gets the UD
SUPER WELTERWEIGHTS - 8 ROUNDS - Greg Vendetti of Stoneham, Massachusetts weighed in at 153.6 fought Casey Kramlich of Portland, Maine a great defensive fighter, who weighed in at 152.4. Both fighters engaging while staying in each other’s pocket. Casey having great footwork. Vendetti looking strong in round 2, backing up Casey. Vendetti continuing going to the body. By the 4th Vendetti is controlling the fight. Casey using his footwork to miss Vendetti’s shots. Casey has a cut above his right eye. Vendetti is just breaking down Kramlich. Vendetti landing the cleaner shots didn’t stop and kept coming forward. This is a great TV fight. By the end of the 7th Vendetti landed some great right hooks but Kramlich was saved by the bell. After 8 scheduled rounds the judges scored the bout 79-73; 80-72; 80-72 all in favor of Vendetti by UD. Vendetti increased to 16-2-1, 10 Kos and Casey suffered his first loss at 8-1-1, 4 kos.
SUPER LIGHTWEIGHTS - 4 ROUNDS - Females hit the squared circle. Shayna “Hollywood” Foppinao who is making her pro debut from Everett, Massachusetts met up against Lamarya Geary of Philly. Both fighters weighed in at 141.6 The crowd went wild when Foppinao walked into the ring. She wore more of an mma outfit than boxing shorts. During round 1, Foppinao jabbed her way in, almost landing all her punches on Geary, Geary didn’t do much of anything, her stance was way too straight up. Foppinao continued with lefts and rights and Geary just couldn’t defend herself. Referee Arthur Mercante, Jr. stepped in at 1:36 and called a halt to the fight. Foppinao won by TKO and she’s now undefeated at 1-0, 1 ko. Her opponent 0-2.
WELTERWEIGHTS - 4 ROUNDS – Mike “Bad Man” O’han, Jr. had an easy fight against Demetrius Thomas of Philly. After 2 rounds with O’Han controlling the fight. Thomas pulling back and getting caught. Referee Arthur Mercante, Jr. stopped the bout at 2:47, maybe he should have let Thomas continue the fight. O’Han wins by TKO and keeps his perfect record of 3-0 while Thomas still hasn’t won a fight and is now 0-6.
MIDDLEWEIGHTS – 4 ROUNDS - Somerville’s Asterio Jorgo vs. Brockton’s Lionel Young. This fight got scratched.
