Shelito Wins by Decision and Toka a KO Victory in Round 2. The Results of Results are Below.

[PROVIDENCE, R.I.] CES closed out 2016 with a bang with 8 professional bouts at Twin River Casino. Main event was female bantamweight Shelly “Shelito” Vincent of New London, Connecticut who always brings her fans with her wherever she fights returned to Twin River, her 2nd home against Marquita Lee of Novato, Calif. There is a considerable amount of fights between the two of them. Vincent 19 fights, Lee 5. Vincent jabbing in, walking down and backing up Lee. Vincent landing some great hooks. Snapping her jabs. Just needed to sit on her punches a tad bit more. Vincent controlled the bout. Walking forward. Dictating the pace of the fight, Lee not throwing many punches. After 8 rounds the judges scored the bout 80-72; 77-75 and 79-73 all in favor of Shelito. Shelly increased to 19-1, 1 Ko.

Super featherweights – 8 Rounds: Toka Kahn Clary of Providence, Rhode Island did not wait long before veteran Mario Macias of Mexico City, Mexico got dropped and Toka won by KO victory. Round 1 Toka looking like an experienced fighter. I didn’t see his usual trainer in the corner, Peter Manfredo. Toka picking his punches. Round 2 Toka lands a left hand and Macias gets the count. Toka lands an upper cut on Macias and Macias goes head first to the canvas. Danny Schiavone stops the bout at 1:53. Toka Kahn Clary advanced to 20-1, 14 Kos.

Junior Welterweights – 4 Rounds A lean looking Anthony Marsella Jr. got the KO victory against Devante Seay of Martinsville, VA at the end of round 1. Marsella backed up Seay and landed multiple shots on Seay which brought Seay to one knee. Referee Joey Lapino gave the count and Seay didn’t answer. Marsella won by KO and increased to 3-0, 2 Kos. This is the best I’ve seen of Marsella tonight in the ring against against Seay.

Middleweights – 6 Rounds - Kendrick Ball, Jr. of Worcester, Mass. stepped up and took on a tuff fight against undefeated Canadian Nathan Millier. Millier controlling the opening rounds and trying to knock out Ball with an overhand right but wasn’t successful. Round 2 Millier has an unconventional style of fighting and being more aggressive. Millier looking very confident in the ring. Round 3 towards the end of the round, the fight picked up, Millier landing the better of the shots. Round 5, Ball landing the cleaner more precise punches. Millier had too much experience on Ball. Judges scored the bout as a majority draw. 58-56 for Millier; 57-57; 57-57. Some thought Millier won 4 out of the 6 rounds.

Junior middleweights – 6 Rounds - Ray Oliveira Jr. of New Bedford, Mass meet up with Matt Probin of Lewiston, Maine. Ray’s father, Ray Oliveira was in Ray’s corner. Oliveira started off with body/head combinations. Both fighters were busy in the rounds. Round 3 Oliveira landed a left, the best shot thus far, but didn’t get the stoppage. Round 5 Probin almost was stopped by Oliveira when he was backed up but was saved by the bell. By the 6th round both fighters seems to be out of gas. After 6 rounds of back n forth action, Oliveira won by UD and increases to 6-0-0, 1 Ko and Probin decreases to 2-2. Judges scored the bout 59-55; 60-54 and 60-54.

Junior welterweights – 4 Rounds - Cristobal Marrero of Worcester, Massachusetts took on Isaiah Robinson of Durham, NC after 4 rounds of Marrero controlling the action while head hunting trying to open up Robinson, Marrero won the UD decision and controlled the fight with all 3 judges scoring the bout 40-36. Marrero increases to 3-0, 2 Kos.

Junior welterweights – 4 Rounds – Making his pro debut and former New England Golden Gloves champ Khiry Todd of Lynn, Mass. got his first TKO victory against Patrick Leal of Somerville, Mass when Todd landed a right then a left at .42 seconds into round 1 and boy did Todd have a fan base with him.

Junior welterweights – 4 Rounds - Anthony Laureano of East Hartford, Connecticut fought only 1 and a half rounds against Lamont White of Washington, DC who kept switching stances throughout the bout. Busy fight Laureano going to the body/head combinsations. Laureano backing up White. Laureano looked fit and trim since his last fight. During round 2 a clash of heads ended the fight early when the doctor was called in and called the bout a no contest due to the accidental head butt
