Jammed Pack House at Twin River. Manfredo vs Biosse a Draw.

[Providence, R.I. – Ringside) Main Event: Scheduled 8 Rounds: Peter “The Pride of Providence” Manfredo stepped back in the ring as the main event against Vladine Biosse both of Providence, Rhode Island. Round 2 Vlad lands a great a Left hook and woke Manfredo up. Some were saying Vlad wouldn’t be ready to fight Manfredo but from seeing what I was seeing Vlad looked great in the ring. It was an exciting main event, back n forth action. Both landing.

Judge Don Trella scored it 77-75 in favor of Biosse, Clark Sammartino had it 78-74 for Manfredo and Glenn Feldman had it even at 76-76.

Manfredo was originally scheduled to fight Angel Camacho, Jr. BUT Camacho suffered an injury. CLICK HERE for the 411 on Camacho’s injury a few weeks ago.

Co-Main Event – 8 rounds: Undefeated Khiary Gray of Worcester, Massachusetts defended his Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) Northeast Junior Middleweight Title against a come ready veteran Quinton Willis of Fort Meyers, Florida. Gray lands a right on Willis shortly into the 1st round and he gets the count. Both fighters are not stopping and keeping the pace up. WOW in the 2nd round what a left hand that landed on Willis as he drops to the canvas. Steve Smoger stops the bout as Willis can’t even stand straight up on his two feet at 1:30 Gray wins and keeps his perfect record.

Welterweights – 6 Rounds: Jimmy Williams of New Haven, CT vs. veteran Manny Woods of St. Petersburg, Florida. Round 1 Williams dropped Woods by a right hand. After 6 rounds of back n forth action the judges scored the bout 59-54; 59-54 and 60-53 all in favor of Williams.

Featherweights – 6 Rounds for the vacant New England Super Featherweight Title. Nick DeLomba of Cranston, R.I., vs Freddy Sanchez of Worcester, Mass. Round 4 DeLomba lands a great uppercut and pounces on Sanchez. Round 5 DeLomba backs up Sanchez against the ropes. Sanchez is in trouble. Ref keeps breaking them up. Sanchez looks exhausted and was saved by the bell. Sanchez first loss L by unanimous decision. Judges scored the bout 59-55, 58-56, 60-54 as DeLomba won the vacant New England Title.

REMATCH - Super Featherweights - 6 Rounds:

Travis Demko of Stoughton, Mass vs. Mohamad Allam of Holyoke, Mass. Both not afraid to come forward and throw punches. This was a rockem sockem bout. This was a war. What a fight. Both fighters had a ton of heart. Judges scored the bout 58-56; 58-56 and 59-55 all in favor of Allam by UD who clearly won the rematch.

Welterweights – 6 Rounds: Zack Ramsey of Springfield, Massachusetts the 413 was in tha house vs. Veteran Issouf Kinda of Bronx, New York. Slow couple of rounds for both fighters. Kinda’s Jabbing, Zack timing his punches but even with Zack’s great defense he just isn’t throwing many punches. By the 5th the action picked up. Zack’s much busier. Judges scored the bout 58-56; 57-57 and 58-56 all for Kinda by majority decision.

Super Lightweight Jamaine Ortiz of Worcester, Massachusetts vs. veteran Josh Parker of Skowhegan, Maine. Parker’s face in round 1 is already red. Ortiz towards the end of the round backed up Parker against the corner and was saved by the bell. Before Round 2 Parker retired at the corner and Ortiz gets the TKO. Great opening debut for Ortiz. Congrats.

Super Middleweights – 4 Rounds Pro Debut Kendrick Ball Jr. of Worcester, Massachusetts vs Providence's Tunde Odumosu. Ball lands a devastating left hook on Odumosu at 1:39 in round 1 and drives him to the canvas. He ain’t moving. What a great pro debut for Ball. Congrats on your win by KO.

Lightweights – 4 Rounds: Julio Perez of Framingham, Mass vs. Providence's Cido Hoff making his pro debut. All 3 judges scored the bout 40-36 for Hoff. Hoff controlled the bout and came forward.
