Oakland, NJ (April 21, 2016) – Vinny Scolpino of VMS Management, Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of amateur cruiserweight standout Ignacio “Macho” Camacho of Patterson, New Jersey to an exclusive management contract.

This 27 year-old will turn professional on April 23, 2016 with his first professional fight against another pro debut, Devaughn Greenwood at the Castle High School in Catskill, New York.

Camacho is a well-known amateur fighter who had a total of 24 fights and numerous tittles. Camacho was named the 2015 “Outstanding Boxer of the Year in the Amateur Boxing Hall of Fame, was a 4 time Diamond Gloves champion. He won the 2014 New Jersey Golden Gloves. In 2015, Camacho made the finals to the Golden Gloves and in 2016 went to the Olympic trials and made it to the semi-finals.

Ignacio Camacho said, “I am excited to be working with VMS Management. I and my trainer, Barry Porter, have heard good things about him and how he moves his fighters, he is associated with many different promoters in the industry. I know he has represented numerous world champions i.e. Joshua Clottey, Joseph Agbeko and Jobert Alverez”.

Vinny Scolpino said, “I am very pleased to have signed a long term management deal with Ignacio “Macho” Camacho. I am looking to move Macho into the right fights to push him to the top. I just booked his pro debut on April 23, 2016 on the Alvin Varmall, Jr. vs. Leo Pla undercard up at the Catskills. His style of fighting is aggressive and explosive. He will give his weight class some opposition“.
