REMATCH! REMATCH! Mohamed Allam vs. Travis Demko on 5-13-2016

There was controversy surrounding Mohamed Allam’s (2-1-0) previous fight against Travis Demko (4-0-0) on September 18, 2015. Many people in the crowd thought you won the fight and were disappointed in the final results. I myself also thought you won the fight, but the final decision comes from the judges. You lost by UD with a judge’s score of 39-37; 39-37 and 39-37 all in favor of Demko. Now on May 13, 2016, 6 rounds on the Manfredo/Camacho undercard we got a rematch! Rematch! (CLICK HERE for the post interview after the initial fight).

Pattee Mak: How did this rematch come about?

Allam: Demko’s management kept trying to make the fight happen. I was always willing but I guess he [Demko] didn't want that fight.

Pattee Mak: When we did the post-fight interview you said you thought you won. Did you get a chance to review the tape and do you still believe you won that fight?

Allam: I watch the tape almost every other day and still can't believe how horribly I did but I do still believe I won.

Pattee Mak: What can the fans except from you come the 13th at Twin?

Allam: Excitement! Even in my worst fights I bring excitement, people will get their money's worth.

Pattee Mak: You were previously training with the Whitley’s in Holyoke. Are you back with them or if not, who’s training you?

Allam: Derrick is my assistant coach as of now since I relocated. Derrick and the Whitley’s help me every time I'm in town. I'm currently being trained by Carlos Cancel in Framingham.

Pattee Mak: What is your trainer doing differently this time in preparation for your fight?

Allam: The preparation for this fight is a little different, it's more defensive minded. Carlos says my offense comes natural but I don't mind getting hit is the problem, he wants me to be scared to death to get hit.

Pattee Mak: What would you like to say to Demko?

Allam: All I gotta say to him is to come ready cause I damn sure am going to be ready and if he thinks it's gonna be the same Mohamad he seen last time he's dead wrong.

Pattee Mak: Thanks again for the interview. I can’t wait to see this bout on the 13th. It was exciting the first time around and I’m sure your fans can’t wait either.

Allam: Thanks Pattee.
