[Interview by Pattee Mak – February 2, 2016] Team Lees Tribe Management LLC of the greater Hartford area adds lightweight boxer, Oscar Bonilla (3-1-2) from Bridgeport, Connecticut to its list of professional fighters. Bonilla last fought on May 30, 2015 at the Danbury Arena against Andrew Bentley (2-2-0) and it ended up as a draw.

Pattee Mak: OSCAR!!! A big congrats to you on your new management signing with Lee Ortega of Team Lees Tribe Management LLC. You mentioned to me you had some news. How did this meeting of minds come about?

Bonilla: Hey Pattee. Yes funny because Lee watched me fight at the arena that night with a buddy of mine that is actually a real good friend of his and one day randomly as I was getting a hair cut in one of the barbershops in Bridgeport, CT. He asked me how's the boxing going and I'm a people person of course, so I responded and in the response I mentioned that I didn't have and manager anymore and rite there on the spot he pulls out his phone and calls Lee and just hands me the phone. LOL

Pattee Mak: Isn’t it amazing how life works out in mysterious ways.

Pattee Mak: Are you happy with the results that Lees Tribe has previously done for other fighters that they manage?

Bonilla: I'm am very impressed with Lee's work. I've noticed how he keeps his guys busy and I feel that he will do his best because I will give it my all to be and get where I need to be.

Pattee Mak: There were so many boxing managers/advisors to choose from. What are you looking for from your new manager?

Bonilla: Your rite. There were many options but in this sport we all need to be on the same page and Lee fulfilled exactly what I was hoping for and I'm sure I did the same as a fighter for him and I will.

Pattee Mak: The big question, when will your fans see you back in the ring or is this a question for your manager?

Bonilla: Well of course my manager decides when and where I'll be fighting but I can honestly tell you that maybe late March or April I will be back in the ring if GOD WILLING!!

Pattee Mak: I’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing you back in action. Lee once you have all the details you’ll have to keep me posted.

Pattee Mak: Now Lee, what do you think of Oscar as a fighter?

Ortega: Oscar as a fighter. He’s a great, talented, young, hungry fighter who fights for his family and has a major mission to do his best for his family. I like that about him a lot. Everything he does is with that purpose for his family. That will always give him that extra push to stay hungry and determined.

Pattee Mak: Is this a straight three (3) year contact?

Ortega: Yes. Straight 3 year contract.

Pattee Mak: What’s first on the agenda with Bonilla?

Ortega: First step is getting him known everywhere locally and around the area in the boxing game, exposure and get him a tune up fight and start finding him the right fights.

Pattee Mak: Hopefully this interview and do just that.

Pattee Mak: Thanks so much both of you for taking the time for this interview and as we always say “GOD has a plan”.

Bonilla: No problem Pattee. I first off I wanna thank GOD for another year in the boxing game. I wanna thank you for this interview and I wanna thank my fans for never giving up on me. 2016 is gonna be a better year. GOD BLESS.

Ortega: Thank you very much for always supporting me and my team all the ways you can. GOD Bless you Pattee. Thanks!
